Calendar by yourminis

widget details and preview... (share page | add to favorite widgets | share on facebook)

The Calendar widget not only tracks the date but also allows you to search for iCal events that you can add. Use the edit dropdown to select "search for events". You can then enter a search term, try holidays, a sports team, etc. You will be returned a set of search results and you will be able to select a result and have those events added to your calendar. You can also completely customize the appearance of the widget by clicking on the color picker icon to change the background color, the background border to be square or rounded, add a transparency level and even add a custom background image.

Could it be modified so that the user can configure whether the week starts on Sunday or Monday? For as far as I know, most of the world considers Monday as the first day of the week...

Sorry but the actual days start from Sun to Sat even on all calenders ecept some. Never seen a calender that starts off with Mon.

HAve you ever been to any other country than the US? Most of the western countries use Monday as the first day of the week. Even the international standard (ISO 8601) has been made according to this fact.

Well this isn't any other country is it? It was obviously made in America so it is an American calendar. :|

Actually, we added the ability to set Monday as the beginning of the week a long time ago, as we realize that there's plenty of people outside of the US that would like to use the calendar...

It's only been six months since your post, and I guess we never responded back to you?! Anyway, you can change the calendar to start with Monday now - just use the edit menu and you'll see that option...

I should have replied a long time ago, but we've added the ability to configure Monday as the start of the week - just use the edit menu on the widget...
